PHOTOS

There have been some great photos posted on the Whatsapp group. This website will collect all the photos in one place and put names to faces. As you can see, we have created various categories, but others will be created if we have forgotton something. Most of the photos from the whatsapp group and the google drive have been uploaded, but we need plenty more. We have full access to the photos published in KES AND TELL. Those will be uploaded in the coming weeks

Mark Esterhuizen will be writing a book about our year and will be asking for contributions from various people. He will also use some of these photos in the book.

You will see that there is a category "THEN AND NOW" Please send photos of yourself in the first flush of youth, as well as now, the last flush of youth.

Please email your photos to photos@kes72.co.za. Include the names of as many of the people in the photo as possible. Please email suggestion to alan@kes72.co.za. If you upload your photos to the whatsapp group, I will pick them up and upload them to this website It would be great if we could have some action photos as well, say of Wynand hitting a six, Clive scoring a try or Gareth finishing comrades.

If you haven't read KES AND TELL by the 1970 matric class, you should get a copy. It is a rollicking read about all the misdeeds and crimes of that Matric year, which included the demotion of Donald MacDonald from head boy to Bottomless Perdition. All of the physical copies have been sold ( at a loss I have been told ), but it is available on Kindle at a cost of US$ 22.99.

Please click on any of the categories in the Navigation Bar. You will see small versions of all the photos available under that category. Most of the categories are empty at the moment. Click on the photo that interests you and you will be taken to a larger version of the photo and a text block where you can enter the names of people you recognise and correct us where we are wrong

There were many nick names at KES, from benign to downright offensive. If a nickname is used that now offends you, tell us and it will be deleted.

This website is best viewed on a laptop or a desk top as it has not been optimised for viewing on a tablet or a phone. If you are using one of the latter devices, please turn it on its side and view the website in Landscape, not in portrait.
